Bay Window Treatments: Bi-stacked or Single Stacked?
When you’re buying venetian blinds, you don’t have to worry about where it stacks, but when you’re buying curtains and vertical blinds you will be asked this questions; “where do you want it to stack?”
Most people will want them bi-stacked; that is, split down the middle so you can stack them on either side. These are great for bay window treatments, because it won’t interfere with the view. With curtains, you can have an accent colour for the ties to add a nice touch to the room; for a cream coloured curtain a lime coloured tie will accent great.
If bi-stacked is so great for your bay window, why would you want it to be single stacked? There are two main reasons, symmetry and purpose. If you have three windows in you bay window area, having all three bi-stacked will mean there’s a big bunch at the middle window. Making the middle window bi-stacked, the one on its left stacked left and the one on the right stacked right will avoid this and give symmetry to this area. If your bay window has a door then you will need it stacked one way so it’s easier for people to get in and out.
